Keeping periods accessible during a cost-of-living crisis in Milton Keynes

Girl Pack is a volunteer-led charity that provide emergency period packs and products to schools and communities across the city.

The organisation recognise that the cost of period products is too high and can't be accessed by everyone who needs them. Girl Pack's aim is to support everyone to have an affordable period.

In 2023 alone, they delivered 6,000 packs of products to 155 partners.

As the colder months approached and demand for their services grew, Girl Pack needed some help to ensure their service could continue through the winter season.

Thanks to the generosity shown to our appeal by the local community, we were able to support Girl Pack with a £10,000 cost-of-living grant.

With very little coming in to replace the products going out, the funding provided some stability during the winter months, enabling Girl Pack to purchase the items the needed and to start seeking additional funding for the upcoming year.
