Milton Keynes Community Foundation understand and recognise that the Covid-19 outbreak will have an impact on local community groups who are already working so hard to support local communities and we want to ensure that we are helping as much as possible to help groups adapt to the challenges they face. We understand that resources such as staff and volunteers may not be available, events that have been planned may not be able to go ahead and that beneficiaries may need to be supported in different ways.
If you are an organisation that has received funding from us recently and you are being affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, please get in touch regarding:
- Adapting your planned activities that you may now have difficulty in delivering
- Discussing changes of dates – In order for you not to feel any added pressure during this already potentially stressful time
- Financial Flexibility – We understand that you may need to use your funding to help cover sickness, purchase new equipment or deliver your services differently than planned and we will be reasonable if you need to move money between budget headings to ensure your work can continue. We are also urgently reviewing what funds we have available to help the work you will be doing in the community and how we can use those funds well, and quickly.
- Listening to you – we are here if you want to talk to us about the situation you’re facing, but we’ll wait for you to call us so that these conversations are at the right time for you.
We also recognise that there may be government updates regarding Covid-19 that may impact on your other income streams, or require a more urgent response from funders. Where we have any news on emergency funding we commit to publishing this on our web page so you can see all available programmes in one place.
