To support a Youth Worker, to educate and engage with Somali youths who are at risk of committing a crime and renting premises to have meetings, so that the young people can socialise with each other, with the Youth Worker present.
Go to linkTo maintain the therapy service while the contracted therapists took annual leave, in order to make the service as accessible as possible. When all of the therapists are working, they provide an average of 84 hours of therapy per week.
Go to linkTo support the extension and development of the 2015 pilot Site Artist research scheme, in which local and outside artists research MK over a period of 10 days in order to create performance work inspired by MK culture and history and run workshops connecting local artists.
Go to linkTo support the delivery of table cricket coaching to disabled and able bodied children in 4 Milton Keynes schools and MK Snap for adults. Groups ran their own warm up sessions with individuals taking a lead. Many made great improvements over the coaching period.
To fund a new Braille machine to cut down on costs from using an external transcript company. MK Readers service needed a new embosser as their previous one broke beyond repair in April 2015. They offer a free brailing service in Milton Keynes.
Go to linkTo support a new parkrun, a free weekly 5K running event to be held in Linford Wood. The first 9 events were attended by an average of 163 runners, who ran 1,469 times between them.
