The Olney Bridge Club

June 2016 | Awarded: £1,000

To support the purchase of wireless scoring equipment for use at the weekly meetings to replace the paper system. Playing Bridge is beneficial for the health and well-being of seniors as it is sociable and provides mental stimulation. Bridge can be played by people with physical disabilities and health problems.

Akota British Bangladeshi Community in MK

June 2016 | Awarded: £1,000

To support coach hire for a day trip to Southend-on-Sea for 150 people from the Asian and Bangladeshi community. The trip coincides with the Eid Festival, which they will celebrate on the beach.

Chicheley Village Hall

June 2016 | Awarded: £5,000

To support the conversion in Chicheley Village Hall of a female toilet into a disabled toilet, refurbish the second toilet and make it unisex, and to refurbish the lobby.

Supporting Xtra Special Families

June 2016 | Awarded: £1,500

To help support families living with disabilities within Milton Keynes, providing 7 events for families during the school holidays to meet and network with other families in similar circumstances. The events also offer respite and relief for families.

MK Springers

To support a qualified tumbling coach. The group currently have a very small number of gymnasts who tumble twice a week. These tumblers are only being coached within other disciplines as they do not have a dedicated tumbling coach.

Global Outreach Foundation

June 2016 | Awarded: £1,500

To support a breakfast club for new members of the community, particularly those from other countries who are resident in Milton Keynes because of asylum or migration. The club will serve a hot breakfast and hold activities like arts and crafts.

Poppy Avenue Residents

June 2016 | Awarded: £1,920

To support the coordination of community events for a summer programme. A lot of the community cannot afford to go on holiday, so for them it is an affordable way to have a family day out.

Woburn & Wavendon Football Club

June 2016 | Awarded: £1,500

To support drainage improvement works of the football pitch playing surface and adjacent area; allowing more frequent use by the local community, especially young male and female footballers. The field is also used by the wider community.

Service Six

To support 'Trailblazers' a holiday club which provides children and young people who live in poverty within Coffee Hall, Bean Hill, Leadenhall and Netherfield with arts and crafts, diversionary events, sports ie. kabaddi and football, homework clubs, cooking, visits to local attractions, career and job guidance and DJ lessons.

Care Services (MK) CIC

May 2016 | Awarded: £4,500

To purchase sensory equipment for adult residents with Autism/learning disabilities, to help develop speech and language. Using the equipment creates a therapeutic approach to reduce anxiety, and develop positive behaviour support.

Woughton Community Council

May 2016 | Awarded: £750

To support promotional leaflets and distribution and venue hire for the Woughton Community Neighborhood plan. Neighbourhood Plans are legal documents establishing community led land use planning policies. In Woughton this project is especially important, as four estates are part of the Regeneration Programme.

Make Lunch MK

May 2016 | Awarded: £1,496

To support two kitchens to be open during school holidays to feed children who would otherwise go hungry. Make Lunch MK invite children who are eligible for free meals, or families known to schools to be struggling. They provide a hot, free lunch for those children and their families.
