Jane Matthews

Trustee

Jane has been involved with a number of voluntary organisations in Milton Keynes. She was a chair of Milton Keynes Relate and Milton Keynes Save the Children, a trustee at Interaction, and a community representative on the Foundation's Grants Committee from 2006-2009.

She began her career working in local newspapers, including the Citizen, where she was news and features editor. Jane then moved into communications, working in the OU's media relations office, followed by periods as the University's Head of Publications and Major Projects and Change Manager. Her CV also includes spells as Communications Manager at The Parks Trust and manager of the Volunteer Centre.

Jane is the author of a number of self-help books, including The Carer’s Handbook, and she runs personal development workshops. She has been living in Milton Keynes since 1987, and currently has two teenage children who attend Stantonbury Campus.
