By forming a heart and making a donation to the heart campaign you will be doing your bit to help build the brightest future for Milton Keynes.
The heart campaign is part of the Foundation’s Endowment Challenge scheme which means every £1 you donate is matched by government, and where gift aid can be claimed they will match that too.
For example £50 donation + £14.10 gift aid + £64.10 government match.
Value of donation = £128.20
It’s a fantastic way to make your giving go further and a great way to raise vital funds for our city. Raising a million is a big challenge but with the combined support from lots of local people it can be done.
There are loads of ways to form a heart. You can gather with other people to make one; or you can make a heart with items that represent your business, your school, your family or community group eg. mobile phones, books, flowers, cakes, play equipment, wine bottles, stationery, footballs, books, magazines etc. There are no rules about the way you form your heart – it’s your heart and entirely up to you!
Please either photograph or film your heart and send it us the Community Foundation by February 26th with a donation to the campaign. All participants will be awarded a certificate acknowledging your contribution.
The Community Foundation has been awarding grants in the city for almost 25 years supporting a wealth of community groups and projects for older people, people with special needs and disabilities, children and youth groups, sport, the arts, faith groups, health, heritage and ethnicity. Our grant making aims to improve the lives of and create opportunities for the people who live and work here.
The photo shows an example from last year’s campaign - Niftylift formed a heart using cherry pickers in their yard.
