1. A Checklist before you apply:

Are you a voluntary group, (or do you work through an intermediary voluntary group) with its own committee and a constitution/set of aims and objectives?

2. Does your group work with people?

3. Does your group work within the Milton Keynes Unitary Authority area?

4. Are you applying for equipment that would become the responsibility of a statutory authority, such as the Council, a school or a hospital?

5. Are you applying for a grant to replace statutory funding or pay for something that is a statutory responsibility?

6. Are you applying for funding for political, campaigning or narrowly religious activities?

7. Are you applying for funding for a project that will have already taken place or for goods or services that will have been ordered or pre-paid for before a grants is approved, or to meet a deficit or loan?

8. Are you applying for ongoing costs such as salaries, rents (except for Development Grant applications and project funding where a small percentage of expenditure may be allowed to cover a proportion of revenue costs)?
