Grants Director
Salary: £26,250 - £35,000
Which includes an additional 5% towards pension contribution following successful completion of a 6 month probationary period
This role requires someone who has passion for the work of the voluntary and community sector and strong communication skills, charisma, energy, and empathy towards community needs, and is highly organised and efficient with very good management, IT, written and presentation skills, who enjoys working in a busy and demanding environment.
The role will spearhead the Foundation’s Strategic Framework in all areas connected to grant making, engaging with the local voluntary and community sector to develop constructive relationships with the Foundation’s many partners including those in the arts, sport and the wider community.
The person appointed will manage and develop a small staff team, be part of the senior team and work closely with the Chief Executive to develop and achieve the Foundation’s strategic objectives and work with the Fund Development Director to support our philanthropy programme. The Grants Director will require their own car (mileage is paid for all travel relating to Foundation business).

Part Time Marketing and Communications Assistant
Salary: £12,000 - £14,000 pro rata
Which includes an additional 5% towards pension contribution following successful completion of a 6 month probationary period
This post is key to the smooth running of the whole organisation, and will work with another assistant to support a wide range of work undertaken by the Foundation’s whole operation including grant making and marketing and fund development. The post holder will be the first point of contact for the Foundation and will need to be highly organised and efficient with good IT skills.
Closing date for this role is Monday 2nd June 2008 with interviews taking place on the
morning of Monday 9th June 2008.
