This is a personal challenge set by one of our Ambassadors, Anthony Priest owner of local IT company TD Group. he's preparing for his most demanding challenge yet...
Back in 2007, you may remember us reporting on Anthony’s amazing cycle challenge across Death Valley when he cycled over 260 miles through the Nevada desert (left). Very impressive!
Then, he wowed us again in 2009 when he cycled across Vietnam and Cambodia, this time 330 miles and £3,300 for MK Community Foundation – really impressive!
And as if those challenges weren’t quite gruelling enough, for the Olympic year Anthony’s pitched his sights even higher - in his own words: “I’m going to try something really mad – my biggest challenge yet…”
He has set himself the incredible goals of cycling from the original Olympic stadium in Athens to the new Olympic Park in London a route of just about 2012 miles and a fundraising target of £12,000! He’ll be aiming to cycle approx. 65 miles every day for around 30 days.
To attempt the amazing challenge he’s taking the month of May off work for the lone cycle across Europe, (with only a support vehicle) and throughout the route he’ll be raising awareness and funds for both MK Community Foundation and Willen Hospice.
This an amazing commitment from Anthony and we are extremely grateful for his continued efforts to raise much needed funds for our work. Thank you!
