Lucky Clare Gets the Polo

Clare of Bedford, drove away the bright red Polo which she won by spending just a few pounds on raffle tickets.  She was delighted with her car and couldn’t wait to drive it.

Loyal sponsors of the event Volkswagen UK Ltd and thecentre:mk joined the local community groups and charities who sold the tickets to join the celebration and collect the funds they raised.  The winning ticket was sold this year by the Cowper & Newton Museum, who received a further £100 bat the presentation evening.

This year’s Community Car Raffle has raised a fantastic £32,506.  At least 50% of these funds go to the ticket selling groups and the remainder goes into the Foundation’s grant-making programme.
