£62k Awarded to City in Sport Relief

This boost of cash has offered support to a huge range of activities that will help to create opportunities and enrich the lives of those involved.
Projects receiving funds include; Social Eyes who will run a project for visually impaired youth in MK, the Stony Stratford Cricket Club will use their grant to offer cricket to Queen Eleanor School; Bradville Play Project can now fund child protection and craft activity training for their volunteers; Diabetes MK will cover the costs of promoting their service in the city; The Scot Bowls Club will fund the improvements for their club’s porta cabin; Sherwood Choral Society will run singing sessions on the Lakes Estate; The Hindu Youth Group will run healthy sporting activities and first aid training and the Meads Close Resident’s Assoc will create a new community garden to surround housing for the older people living in New Bradwell.

These awards are just a snapshot of the funding that has gone out to support those working at the grass roots level in our community.  We look forward to reporting on the successes and outcomes of this work in the coming months.
